How to pay dues?

You have to start the monthly dues payments 11 months in advance, so you could start paying 2008 dues this month and make monthly payments, but I'm pretty sure the 2007 dues have to be paid in full this month (I'm sure someone will correct me if I have that wrong).

That is not correct. Your dues for 2007 can be paid in full in January (check or credit card) or paid monthly by having the funds withdrawn directly from your bank account. Those paying monthly are not paying a year in advance. MS does need some time to set up the monthly withdrawls. I don't know if it's too late to set it up for this year. Give MS a call and talk to someone in Member Accounting. Please report back on what you find out!

I don't think there are any special deals -- just the standard 1%. I think the only time they offer deals like "no interest for 6 months" is when you are adding on additional points or booking a Disney vacation, in other words, only when you are buying something from Disney, not when paying a bill that you owe.

So you have to compare the rewards you get back on the Disney VISA (1%) vs. other credit cards vs. the benefit of paying the dues in 12 installments at no additional charge.

Nobody has reported receiving their dues bill that I've seen. Three straight days with no mail deliveries is probably holding up delivery... and I'm not complaining!

DH paid ours online yesterday. MS sent a confirmation e-mail to us with a payment authorization number after it was received.

I'll be interested to hear if 2007 dues can be paid monthly at this point. I know when we bought in 2001 we were told the dues had to be paid off by the due date...which is specifically why we didn't go with monthly billing, because I'd prefer to keep the money in savings and earn the interest. If the payment schedule has changed, then we'll switch next year (we already paid 2007 dues online). If anyone contacts MS about this, please let us know what they say.

Got my dues bill today. Discover is listed as one of the credit card options. I don't recall that option being available before.

Haven't gotten my bill. I went online and I have one bill for my 4 contracts. I paid online with my Disney Visa. Not a big savings, but I'll take what I can. At least they are paid.

We are waiting for our new contract to close. (actually, i have no idea when or how we get notification of this.) i suppose we owe the 2007 dues now (we paid for the contract in full, so we didn't set up monthly payments). I'm guessing a bill will come with the closing info? While the DVC site knows I'm a member and how many points I have, it doesn't have the info about my dues yet. Do I just sit tight and wait for the info to appear? Thx.
