? how to modify over 2 use years and not lose any days

I tried to modify a reservation for July 28th, 2024 to August 4th, 2024 for 7 nights. I have an August UY.
1--used 172 pt (2023) for the July nights (4) but it won't let me book book the last 3 nights.
2- no more points in 2023 but have 400 in 2024.

Do I have to wait till Aug 1st to add on the last 3 nights I tried to modify?

If I'm understanding your post correct, you absolutely should be able to use your 2024 points as part of that reservation. The UY is only when you get the points. I can see in a situation like yours if you had previously banked points, those points could be expiring 7/31/2024, so you couldn't use them starting 8/1/2024. Did you do some banking into 2024? Even then, you should be able to borrow from 2025 for reservations starting 8/1/2024. That sounds odd to me. Sorry, not sure I'm helping any!

If you call MS, they can take care of it.

We can not book a continuous stay over a UY online..only MS can do it because it requires them to do something in order to access the next UYs points without borrowing.

Thanks. 30 years of DVC, and I was not aware of that stipulation. Learn something new out here every day, it seems. We also have an Aug UY, buy never travel to Florida Jul/Aug, so haven't come across that!!

I just call MS and Elle took care of my reservation across the UY. Took about 10 minutes . The reservation was still in 2 UY's when done so I didn't lose my days.

UPDATE 3 days later
I had to call again to move my reservation across my UY because the first time I had Elle move it we still had the first day of my reservation in the wrong UY so I could walk it.
Now all my days are set in August 2024.
