How to make the most of it staying offsite?

So. This trip (end of August) we will be staying offsite for the first time. We have done approx 3 trips in the past and have stayed on site for all. This time we will be going for 12 nights so offsite is how we will be making it happen. We will also be visiting Universal and seaworld and getting unlimited express passes for Universal. We also plan on doing boobash to be able to be in the parks at least 1 late night and if AK happens to bring back their payable late nights during my trip I'll probably do that also. This is our first trip without the FP system so I'm trying to gather info on how to use the new G+ ILL system. Thank you!
