My daughter is having a Tinker Bell theme for her 4th birthday and a friend suggested making pixie dust to sprinkle on the girls. Any "recipes" for making pixie dust out there?

You could use fine grade glitter like they do at BBB. I have some that I bought at Michael's. It comes in a lot of different colors and is non-toxic.

I don't have a recipe but I would think that the sparkly powder that make up companies use would work. Check a dance supply store. That way you avoid the glitter mess.

In the arts and crafts dept look for micro glitter. It comes in cylindrical vessels. Use the silver and gold ones combine for your own color combo.

I used fairy dust when the tooth fairy came. She would leave a trail from the window to the bed, and the dollar bills had a sprinkling too. I would lightly spray them with adhesive and then sprinkle away. My DD still has every dollar the tooth fairy ever gave her. All her friends wondered why the tooth fairy liked her best! :lovestruc

Thanks for all of your suggestions! I'll be heading to Michaels tomorrow! I love the tooth fairy idea!

Be careful with the glitter because if it gets in the kid's eyes, it can scratch their corneas.
