I have heard of this before. You get an old t-shirt that doesn't fit you or your kids and make it into a pillow. Does anyone know how to do so? I've heard of several ways but i want the most simple and affordable way :cutie:

So if you know how to do this, any tips?

I've done this several times, and the way I always do it is to lay the shirt out flat, inside out and use pins to mark the shape you want your pillow to be.

Then just sow around the pins, leaving either one end open for a pre made pillow form, or just a few inches open if using stuffing.

Trim off the extra material.

Turn the shirt right side out again and stuff the pillow, then sow the opening shut.

It's really easy and depending on the size of the shirt, doesn't take very long and the only expence you'll be out is the cost of the stuffing ( usually only a couple of dollars ).

If you can't sew or don't have access to a sewing machine, you can also use Heat n' Bond. Family Fun also has directions on their web site.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to begining this project! If anyone has any other tips i'd appreciate it ;)
