How to make $3600 on your disney vacation! WE DID!! NEW 9/3*The Epilogue, DONE* p. 54

Fantastic trip report. I just found it today and I'm all caught up now. You are a great storyteller and I've found myself tearing up several times at your happiness and joy. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

Horsegirlieponypoo! I am so loving your trip report. You have an abiltiy to write that doesn't just decribe your days, it puts us right there with you. Thank you for sharing your talents with us! You and your children are wonderful.

Hey HorseysweetHorsey!!

What a great installment!!! Each new piece that you write gives us a little glimpse into your heart and the Woman that you are. You are definitely all yellow and all heart, my friend.

I love the way you described your relationship with your MIL. Makes me feel like I know her already and she's just come on the scene.

People began jockeying for position in line. Trying to guess where the bus would exactly stop and open its doors.

This had me laughing out loud. Why does everybody do that? There's (almost) nothing funnier than seeing an overzealous know it all group gettin' punked out by a Disney bus that passes them up and stops five feet from where they have already lined up. I laugh every time. Even when it's us that's gettin' punked out. Yeah, it's still funny even then.

But jack’s 3 days of sleep deprivation and over stimulation had apparently sent him into blood curdling screams of refusing to drop trow in the loo, necessitating DJ doing it for him. They were in there 25 minutes. No arrests were made.

Okay, I think I'm gonna need a redneck translation for this one. What exactly is trow? I got loo, I know that one. Do you mean he didn't want to drop his pants or his poop? Cause if it's poop, forget Mother's Day. Skip right on over to Father's Day and give that man of yours a trophy for dropping trow for his son. Go Dad. ;)

I have a mental image right now that I'm not sure I should have.

Fanny pack please.

Ponybaby,
You're making me miss OKW! The writing and the photos bring it all back, our very first family Disney vacation.

:cheer2: :cheer2: and :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 to your wisdom in beating a retreat to the resort when things were going south at MK. Not everyone would do the same. That's why there are unhappy families in the park from time to time. I'm glad to know, though, that Disney security was on it -- what if it weren't just an overtired kid having a flippie over dropping trow?

This is soooo addicting. It's like reading a novel one can't put down. I think you've inspired me to finally write my trip report:) I can't wait for the next installment.

but my dad, the outgoing jokester, who at times seemed as childlike as us, would through us over his shoulder and we would scream with joy as he did this before landing in the water. Some of the best memories of my life happened here.
I hope like anything that one day my daughter describes her time with me this way. You have honored your father very well. MOMOFMNM described a time with her dad on a car trip and of course Delswife has written at length about visiting her Dad when she goes to Disney World. I pray one day my little girl will tell her friends about how much fun her Dad was when she was little. I pray I am that much fun for her now.

We may be on different sides of the conservative/liberal fence, but we are alike in many ways. We love our family and all things Disney - that's as much common ground as I need!

My favorite horsegirl -

I was already in a sniffly, snotty state, and I can't decide if it is worse now, for the beautiful words that you wrote, or better because you always make me laugh too.

All in all, I am deeply touched in so many ways by your trip report. I love it that your love for your family speaks so loudly, but with such gentleness that it is overwhelming, and heartwarming, and wonderful. I love that you love your MIL despite any differences. I love that you formed your own relationship with her in YOUR way instead of how the rest of her family would have tried to. (Well, that last probably didn't make sense, I hope you can tell where I was trying to go.) Bottom line, I am as hooked as ever on this and eagerly await the next installment.

Hay Folks!

Now you have me laughing! Thanks! Kpk, I did leave out that DJ and I joined in the bus stop lineup dance, okay frenzy. We share so much in common! New Englanders are very good at being cool and understated. I believe it stems from early repression centuries ago....We are not native New Englanders, but have had to adopt the vernacular mannerisms so as to survive here. I so wanted to look like I wasn't stooping low like the other desperate waitees, but we formed our own sophisticated and stealth plan. I stood up front where the anticipated stop would be with the children and would dart around pretending to move with them so as to hide my pettiness. DJ stood in back, with the stroller, ready to pounce. We did the two-entry-backdoor-not-appearing-to-be-pushy-or-paying-attention-to-the-queue approach. I can describe more in detail if need be. I have not seen this particular subject explored in depth on the DIS, in UG or TM. So please let me know if I should expound further!

JCJRS and swilshire got it right. I probably spelled it wrong. I have always liked the expression for some reason. Wait! Don't take that out of context! Yes, dropping Trow is dropping ones pants. It must have been a difficult thing for DJ to handle, especially as Jackson had been whining "I gotta go peeeeeeeeee", the entire bus ride to MK, which was nearly 40 minutes! APparently DJ did try to just inch down the waistband, but uh, Jack is just too little a boy for that to be an effective means.... oh never mind, this discussion is going down the toilet!

Thanks Georgia and Lala for the words regarding my MIL. Our relationship might just be my greatest accomplishment! I almost did not marry into the family because of our early strained situation!!!!!!Truly we have come full circle.

Zzub, I have so much more to say about my dad. I still feel like a little girl when I am with him. He called me Gem, and that nickname pops in my mind, any time I have warm feelings about someone. I just want them to call me that. It is also why I feel sad about his lack of interest in traveling with us, or really spending a whole lot of time as a family. I loved my time with him and still want to recapture that time and feeling. He always made me laugh and feel very special. He was so much fun! Given what I know about you, I have not a doubt in my mind how your girl will feel about you. Look how we feel and don't even know you! You have the heart and wit of my dad. So you are in, pal. Have no fear, you will be your daughter's prince, always..... However, you should continue to come ask us for advice and write trs, so that we can follow your progress in that vain.....

Haley, please come out of the comma. Em's mom, Momrek06, nicolemarie, sher, grumpy's wife. littlemotherhaywood, and brandt who was the second to ever post on my tr, thanks. I will try to do a shout out periodically and respond...

I had a picture up of the whole family briefly. I might do it again. So check early if you are interested in my mommy mug, or that of the other characters. I doubt I will leave them up for more than a day.....

Cheers people, time to write a little more. I need to finish this so that I can read some more of these great trs here....lots of great writers. Thank you all again for making me laugh and giving me inspiration.... :teeth:

I have really enjoyed your report. Unfortunately, I am not getting much done at work today. So, please ...

tell us more!

Thank you for sharing your trip report with us. It must take up so much time and to do it so we may revel in your joy of Disney and family is truly special. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Looking forward to all your future posts :thumbsup2

of your trip Horsegirl.

I'm not sure there is anything that I can say to you that has not already been expressed by those with more literary ability than I. Having read about how the course of your life brought you these three little miracles brought tears to my eyes, as I was not sure at one point if my second child would ever actually be a reality. I know the fierce love we have for those we fought hardest for.

I applaud your decision to leave the park and go back to the resort. A hard decision for most, considering the cost of such a trip, but in reality what you and the family needed most. And I must comment on Grammy J...even without meeting her, I already love her, since I too share her birthday...May 1. She sounds like a wonderful woman and you are both lucky to have each other.

Looking forward to another installment when you have a chance.

HorseyBabe,
Thank you! I discovered this thread last night and stayed up far to late reading and loving every word. THESE are the kind of stories that bind readers to their authors, and families to their ancestors. Your family is richly blessed not only by your presence, but by your gift for expressing your love through your words. I feel richly blessed because you are willing to share it with us. Thank you.

Hay Horsegirl, I few winters like last year and the year before weed out any of the weak outsiders from New England. We let the rest stay if they don't complain too much! :cold:

I'm really enjoying your report and it is really getting me excited for our August stay at the Boardwalk.

Hi Renee, Janet, Linda Babe and Lisa Belle. Thanks so much! It is time consuming writing a trippie, but I have to admit, I have been sucked into the DIS and read and type way too much. I feel blessed for so many reasons, including meeting so many great people here!

Tinkbelfan! Those winters are why it is mandatory to head south to the DIS! It does weed out the wimps, doesn't it. COme to think of it, they probably all move to Orlando. No fair!!!!! Thanks for dropping by, and I will have to pm you again soon to discuss yachting at WDW.... ;)

Loubon, my dear friend, how long I have waited for you to stop by. Glad you took the bait! I saw that clown on our trip in the last hours of our stay. You'll have to come back and read about it in the last chapter! Thanks for the image, at least it is a kindly clown and not a clime or chucky. Have a blast at the Boardwalk. It is a great place!!!!!!! you funny man woo! :lmao:
