How to Link FP+ Reservations Between Families

If this has already been addressed elsewhere, I apologize.

But what is the best way to link our FP+ reservations to those of another family that will be travelling with us?

We will be making our FP+ reservations in about 2 weeks and I'm trying to make sure it goes as smoothly as possible.

Are you booking just one family ahead of time and the other family day-of? Or will both be ahead of time or both day-of?

We are both booked at a resort and both groups will be making FP+ reservations on the same day in about 2 weeks.

You need to use the invite function in the Family & Friends list to connect with them.

We have invited each other on MDE and are connected. But how does that enable us to coordinate our FP+ reservations?

One of us controls one set of MDEs and the other controls the set for her family. So, she will be making FP+ for her group & I'll be doing it for mine. Not sure how we ensure that our FP+ times are the same.

Sorry if this sounds convoluted, but having never used FP+ before I'm just trying to make it work for us when we hit the 60 day window.

I just did this last week with my sister. She "manages" her family and I "manage" mine. However we have "shared" each other's accounts with each other. If you are able to see each other's families on MDE then you can make plans for each other. I can make, and change fp+ for her group at the same time as mine and she can do the same. No need to synchronize watches :upsidedow. When you start making fp+ reservations just select everyone you want to include. We have a combined group of 11 and it was super easy. No problems at all.

Thank you so much for the info. That is what I was hoping to hear!

how are you able to see eachother's families? I've linked to my friend but can't see her family. I can make FP+ for her but no one else in her group :(.
Thanks!

You need to add them. Go to your Family & Friends list and select 'Add a Guest'. Once the next screen loads, select the 'Invite Through a Mutual Friend' tab. There will be a drop down menu that contains all of other MDE accounts you've connected to. Select your friend from that drop down and a list of all her Family & Friends will be displayed. Select one and click 'Done', repeat for each one you want to add. Your friend will need to accept the friend requests.

Your friend can do the same to add any Family & Friends on your list that you manage.

Thanks!!!! Everyone at disboards is so helpful! I spent 30 minutes with a CM and they couldn't tell me how to do it. :)
