How to include Universal with trailer?

So, I want to go to Universal and was contemplating staying in their on-site hotel 1 night for the express pass and early entry to Harry Potter. Two questions: has anybody done this and what did you do with your trailer? Is 1 day enough to see everything at the 2 Universal parks? (I realize I should probably ask the second question on the other board...)

Oh, 3rd question...if we did not stay on sight are there any good rv parks close to Universal? Or, would it be easier to simply stay put at Disney's FW park?

We were thinking of staying near Universal simply because it is on our route out of Florida.

Thanks!

Welcome to Dis camping board.

1 day is not enough if you want to do everything in both parks. Especially during busy season. It took us over 2 hours to do HP in Jan 2011.

There is Turkey Lake campground very close to Universal. It's not far enough to make a difference in travel time out of Fl. It would be easier to stay put at The Fort.

We did go to Universal for the day... we didn't spend the night. We had some friends who did stay at one of the Universal hotels and said the cost of the hotel was not worth the few extras in Universal... but not all would agree to that.

I do agree with previous poster that one day will be pushing it ... we've been to universal a few times and this past time we spent the entire day at WWOHP... we are HUGE fans of HP and took our time... really took our time as there isn't THAT much.... but we did do it all. The lines themselves took up a huge part of the day.
