The best way to deal with any disaster is to give money to reputable disaster relief organizations. They can purchase necessary supplies at discounted volume prices and get them where they need to be. Many of the "collect some stuff" donations end up doing more harm than good, clogging very limited port/airport facilities with supplies that aren't what's actually needed and blocking those that are. This is a great resource. Thank you. I hope a lot of Disney cruisers decide to donate to Bahamian relief efforts.

Every excursion in the Bahamas is helpful as it generates money and jobs for their people and economy.
Even if you don't do an excursion, you can still get off the ship to dine, drink, shop, tour, spend money there.
