How to help our bees, looking for tips

I saw this so stinkin cute meme, which made me go looking and I found the following link for a list of pesticides to avoid so that's a start.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Plant lots of bee friendly flowers!

If you can, turn part of your yard into a meadow with plenty of flowering plants, or have part of be clover that you don't mow.

I'm a bee lady!

Plant a diverse pollinator garden with lot's of native plants.
Add trees and shrubs that bloom off season, ie early spring and will provide pollen throughout the season.
Provide shallow, moving water..small fountain
Minimize herbicide and insecticide use

Don't use any of those mosquito spray services, they affect the bees too.

Bees seem to love my Rhododendrons, so I vote for planting those.

I usually plant three mammoth sunflowers each year. They really seem to attract bees in my neighborhood.
I have noticed that they seem territorial of it as I have seen some bees stinging other bees over it. Though they really don't react like it hurts.

We don't use insecticides or herbicides at all. They are poison for both people or planet. If you plant wildflower mixes that are native to your region (you can do it in planters around your garden if you don't want to go digging), they will come and feast. Google perennial pollinators (your region).

You can always start your own honeybee hive. That’s my summer project this year. Our community college even offers a course on beginner beekeeping.

Thought I’d add a good Ted Talk on urban beekeeping if anyone has the interest.
