My ddturning4atWDW will be celebrating her birthday at WDW in a couple of weeks. Honestly, her birthday is 10/21 and we are scheduled to be at WDW 10/10 - 10/14 (due to family school schedules). We are travelling with extended family including dd's cousins ranging in ages from 3.5 to 9.

Our dilemma: How do we celebrate her birthday there because every single dinner is with cousins? Meaning, we don't want to make her cousins feel badly :grouphug: ...One solution we thought of was to choose only ONE birthday celebration dinner day (at the end of our trip...to be at 1900 Park Fare w/Cinderella) and maybe just allow her to wear her birthday button when we are touring the parks during the day but not at all the dinners. I thought I could do a character lunch for her to celebrate her birthday as well.

Originally, we had our plans to visit WDW to fall ON her actual birthday. However, when dh's family started to decide to come as well our dates changed :p to accomodate the older children's test times (so they would not miss the state testing).

Any suggestions??? :flower: We are all going to get each child the Guest of Honor Badges and they all have matching t-shirts for certain days at the parks. I am just feeling kind of funny about celebrating dd's birthday all week long in front of the other children. :confused3

I think it is a great idea to pick one day and celebrate it all day. Give her the full b'day experience of feeling like that special princess. princess: They will sing Happy B'day to her if you tell them when you make your PS. They will make note of it just remind them when you check in.

I am not sure if you are sharing rooms with the family but you could have a special birthday present sent to the room while you are out one day and then when you come back it will be there.

I have already made my neice a special B'day shirt to wear at the park for the occasion (embroidery sewing machine) that included her name and her favorite character.

Maybe get some little party bags fill them w/ Disney goodies that you buy here at home and take them with you to hand out that day so the cousins dont feel left out.

Endless ideas.....

I love the goodie bag idea. I will put things like the glow sticks/bracelets, disney stickers, crayons, tiny pad, little things that would keep them busy on the flight back!!!

What a wonderful suggestion!!! :cheer2:
