I am sure I am not the only one with this problem - I just ate a healthy lunch (3oz grilled chicken breast, small sweet potato, cauliflower) and now I want a "little something" sweet to get rid of the lunch taste...

I drank a Diet Coke after (which doesn't really help), but this happens all the time. I know it is more mental than anything else... What are some things you do to get your mind off it and tell yourself you DON'T need sweets after you eat?

I'll be curious to see what kind of responses you get to this question. I have this problem too. I really need something sweet after I eat. Can't be any artificial either - that doesn't do it for me. Fruit doesn't do it either.

I'm doomed.

I chew cinamon flavored gum, eat one piece of weight watchers candy (1 point) or eat a small weight watchers cake (chocolate, lemon or carrot cake - 1 point each) helps me satisfy my swet carvings.

I immediately put some kind of sweet (rather than mint) gum in my mouth. That seems to help me with the sweets craving.

I take warm baths instead of snacking...drink some diet cherry pepsi

if I want sweet, I will eat lof fat granola bars, WW choc muffins, grapes, chew gum, have a non fat sugar free latte with some whip cream...make some homemade berry crisp...

I always have this problem. ALWAYS.

I belong to WW and will be Lifetime in 3 weeks YEY.

Anyway, I use to eat the WW 1 point choclate after every lunch and then again with my popcorn at night but in the last couple of months found something that REALLY works...for me.

After every lunch at work, I eat an orange. I cut it up at home and almost immediately after my lunch, I eat my orange. I then get up and brush my teeth and it has really helped. I found it satisfied my craving much more than the little piece of chocolate too.

Good luck and just try to orange and see if it works. :flower1:

I have been eating those sugar-free jello cups. I think it helps for after lunch, doesnt really work for me as a snack, its not filling enough, but helps with the sweet tooth thing.

I have this same problem... every lunch, every dinner. As soon as I am done with some sort of "savory" meal, I want a bite of chocolate to finish it off. Its so engrained into my brain. Its like an addiction. I enjoy 1/2 of a 2 points Chocolate Crunch Bar from WW. I also like to eat a cup of Sugar Free Jello Chocolate Pudding with a big dollop of Cool Whip light mixed in ( 2 points). Both satisfy that craving. A mint isn't going to do it for me. I need to chew or crunch some chocolate. :cool1:

Those are some great ideas, thanks! :thanks:

My sweet tooth would attack at night after 7pm. I didn't want to eat anything, I knew it was mental. I brush my teeth right after each meal and that cures my want to eat sweet :teeth:

Fruit is my sweets! It satisfies my sweet tooth plenty! Sometimes I'll have a serving of Craisins, or some other fruit.

I have this sometimes in the middle of the day - not necessarily right after a meal but if it is after a meal it's after lunch only. I make sure that I have a bite sized Almond Joy in my desk every day - or 3 Musketeers. That does it for me. Somedays I don't need it but if I do, it's there. Or I'll get some WW chocolates - those are great because you are also getting lots of fiber from them too.

I used to like an "options" hot chocolate drink, only 40kcal, but nice and sweet... now I've switched to carbolite which is creamier and nicer but 126kcal.

Weight Watchers Big Fudge Bars are what save me Only one point and big enough to feel like I am cheating.
