For those who have had both, is the regular coffee cake cookie that much better?

If you like snickerdoodles, yes.

That's exactly how I would describe it, too. Snickerdoodles are my favorite type of cookie, so that's probably why I liked it so much better than the chocolate chip. Peanut butter crunch was in 2nd place, but it didn't even come near the coffee cake cookie.

Arrived this morning at about 10:30 and there was no virtual que, just the real thing. Wait was about 45-ish minutes. So that’s a mid-week late morning experience.
