How to get to the rent/trade board for a PM

I have posted points for rent or trade......first it got closed then I was supposed to BUMP it by replying to the closed post. I cannot do since it is closed....then I want to PM an R/T person and no one takes PM's.....what am I to do?????

Thanks for your help....I know I am in the incorrect area, but there was no where for me to go!!!

You should read the "Required Reading" sticky threads at the top of the Rent/Trade board. They explain what you are required to do if you want to use the Rent/Trade board. For example, when you post a thread on the board, you are required to make a reply post to your thread at least once every 7 days to keep it "alive". Otherwise it is assumed you have abandoned the thread and it gets closed automatically. It sounds like you received an automated PM telling you that your thread had been closed. At that point, it's too late to try to bump it. You can start over by submitting a new thread, but be sure to maintain it next time as described in the posting rules.

If people are expressing interest in your points but have opted not to receive PMs, there isn't much you can do. It's a bit like leaving someone voice mail saying "give me a call" and then not leaving your number.

The other PM issue is that the majority of the posters are not DISers, they are outsiders who just want a deal. They do not have enough posts to have PM access.
