My family and I are going to do Ohana for the first time this October. And I was wondering how can we get there since we have never been there before can we take the buses or the monorail?

Where are you coming from? If you are driving, just park at the TTC and walk over to the Poly. You can take a bus from any onsite resort to the MK, then take the monorail or boat over to the Poly.

Anyone can use Disney transportation. But to answer properly, we need to know where you'll be starting from.

We parked at the resort parking when we went. If you are coming by bus, take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then the resorts monorail to the Polynesian Resort.

If near MK take the monorail loop. If at WL or FW, take boat to Contemporary, then Monorail. Or bus to MK, then boat or monorail. If any other resorts, take bus to MK, then boat or monorail to Poly. If from DS, take direct bus to Poly. Allow 1.5 hrs for travel from resorts outside of MK realm.

I'm sorry we are staying at the BCV and we arrive on October 27th and our reservations are on the 28th for dinner

If going through a park is an option probably the quickest and most efficient way is to walk to the front of Epcot and grab the monorail to the TTC and then walk to the Poly from the TTC. Or as mentioned above you can walk/boat to DS front gate and get a bus directly to the poly. Otherwise you'd probably have to take the bus to MK and then take a boat or monorail to the poly. Or you can uber it direct from the resort.

For us it depends on what we are doing after dinner. If we're going to a park afterwards (we usually plan our 'Ohana dinner when there is evening EMH at MK) then we walk to the front of Epcot and take the monorail. Otherwise, we drive.

Just as a reminder that walking thru Epcot to access the monorail would require park hoppers ( if you are doing a different park that day).

It is probably faster to take the bus from BC to MK and then monorail to Poly (or boat).

We made the mistake of walking through Epcot last October on a Saturday night to go to the MK when we stayed at the BC. It was packed due to F&W. Looks like you are going on a Friday, but I would still just take the bus to the MK and monorail or boat from there.

We stayed at BCV last August. We took a taxi to Poly for our Ohana breakfast. After breakfast we took the monorail to MK for the day.

If staying offsite and not going to the park the day of 'Ohana dinner, would driving one's own car incur a parking fee?
