How to get to HDDR from AK

We are going to HDDR (7:15) on our last night (Mon 8/27). Our plan is to spend the day (no hoppers) at AK which has the extra evening hours (closes at 8) that day. What's the best way to get to HDDR? Should we take a bus to FW and then the internal bus to HDDR? How about a bus to MK, or Contemporary, and then the boat to FW? This is our first trip without a car and I'm not familiar with the WDW transportation. What I know comes from reading DIS posts.

Either one will work..just depends on how relaxed you want to be. Me? I would take the CR bus and then take the boat from there to FtW. It drops you just below the HDDR bldg..Pioneer Hall. Then reverse it to get back to your resort..take the boat to MK and then transfer to your resort bus.

I agree with goofy4tink.

And by the way, definitely don't do bus from AK to MK. The bus from AK will take you to TTC, and then from there you'd have to get the monorail or ferry to MK, and THEN the boat to FW. There are other possibilities from TTC, but you get the idea that bus from AK to TTC won't be your most efficient or scenic route.
