How to get to Chef Mickey's Breakfast

Hey everyone,

I just made a reservation for Chef Mickey's breakfast buffet at the Contemporary. We need to get from Pop Century to the restaurant at 8am. What bus do we take to do this?

Anyone ever eat at Chef Mickey's and what did you think of it?

I would STRONGLY suggest taking a taxi for between resort meals. We went POR to Beach Club and cost around $14. It can be VERY time consuming going from a resort, to a park, catch a bus from the park to Chef Mickey's.

Now, since I just typed that, I just realized you can take a bus to Magic Kingdom and jump on the monorail to the Contempary resort. You can also WALK from MK to Contempary.

We were at Chef Mickey's for lunch... pretty good. Nothing WOW, but certainly not bad!

If MK opens early that day (check the EMH schedule), you can do as the above poster said. Buses will be running.

Buses will be running. Simply take the MK bus and then walk or monorail over to CR. I have walked it many times and it is a quick walk. You have to walk to towards the MK gates to catch the monorail and by that time you are more than half way to CR. Heck, you can always mention to the driver that you are going to Chef Mickey's and he/she may drop you there if you are the only ones on the bus.

Make sure to be at the bus stop 45-60 minutes before your ADR. I would shoot for 7am. Also, keep in mind, if you show up a bit early for your ADR, there is a chance you get in early.

Chef Mickey's is well worth it for the character interaction. It was our first character meal and we still hold fond memories of it.

If you want to get there as fast as possible and don't mind the cost, take a taxi to the Contemporary.

However if you want to use WDW transportation the buses to the Magic Kingdom start operating at 6:30 AM, so get on the first bus and when you arrive there use the walkway to the Contemporary.
