How to get thru the next 3 weeks?

Our trip is now only 3 weeks away! I'm running out of things to obsess about. I'm still reading the Unofficial Guide and when I'm working I can take my mind off it temporarily...but all my spare time is consumed with Disney thoughts!
I watch the planning DVD repeatedly (just to see the parks!) and every family meal is consumed with Disney chat. My DH is the same way...he'll say "what will we be doing 3 weeks from now?." (this just feeds my vacation frenzy!) I just want to get on the plane and go NOW!!!!!
I know I'm not the only one out there who does this! Tell me about your vacation-is-almost-here behavior!

It sounds like we will be at WDW at the same time as you. While I always get more excited as the time gets closer, I have a pit in my stomach about our upcoming trip that I have never had before. I'm afraid I am overlooking something and I cannot figure out what it is!!! I think it may be because there are several things I need to take care of at the last minute and the day of arrival this trip. I'm sure it will all fall into place!

As our trips get closer, we always try to watch one Disney movie at night (which is easier to do for summer trips since school is out). This weekend we watched 8 Below and Sky High (Is that what it's called? Th eone with Kurt Russel being a super hero.) And of course, keep checking the DIS and Tour Guide Mike forums. I hope your next three weeks go by quickly!

You guys are so lucky, I have to wait longer ha! ha! But all my time is consumed by Disney also... ha! I try to get new tips and tricks etc....
Have fun.

Looks like it'll be a PA convention--3 weeks for us, too. I second the watching a Disney movie a day if you can swing it. Always gets my DS and I ready to see the characters.

Another great idea to keep you obsessing about the upcoming trip--start planning another!!! I've finally convinced my DH to take us on a Disney cruise next summer. It's got me pouring over the cruise line message boards and reading the Passporter cruise book every chance I have.

Don't waste 'em. Think of something else enjoyable you could do and go do it. Perhaps rent and watch another DVD movie. Perhaps lay aside all in one place the clothing and things you will be packing (sure helps to have duplicate wardrobe items -- belts, sneakers, shaver, etc. -- you can get by without for everyday wear).

Thirty, forty, fifty, etc. years from now you will be reminiscing about your Disney trips but also remembering how many other things you did not but could (or did) accomplish in the few weeks preceding each of those Disney trips.

More on topic: a list you can print or cut/paste of things you could go looking for at Disney.

We're a little over two months away and I'm already to go! :cool1: We've planned almost everything...Just waiting for the food and wine festival events to go on sale next Monday! :lmao:
But what we usually do is start pulling out our Mickey Cookbooks. We pick out a couple of meals from the cookbooks each week and spend our dinners talking about the resort or theme park that the recipe is from. We also try to have Disney-themed dinner & movies. Like last night was Chili Dogs and then we watched "Lilo & Stitch" in honor of Stitch's Great Escape. :teeth:

Well you could take a sleeping pill and just sleep the hours and days away and then you should be well rested for the trip.
But really I have the same problem when we have a trip planned. Go on and dream of your disney days they seem so short when you are there that you might as well enjoy the excitement! Make list and check them twice, look oave your tour plans and pack. You can never pack to early!
Have a wonderful time :cheer2:

I did plan 2 things enjoyable that will probably help.....a trip to the beach this weekend to see my mom and taking the kids to Dorney Park Aug. 4, for dd's sweet 16~

OMG!!! I feel the same way!!! For some reason I am having a hard time picturing myself there. I have never felt this way before prior trips. I think it is because I am afraid that a hurricane is going to come and blow my disney dream vacation away. Plus, we have never done a summer trip which has me a little worried and could be adding to it. I guess if this is the only thing I have to worry about in life, then I am doing okay, right?
