We need to pick up tickets for a family of 6 that will only need a single day's base tickets. Are there any places that give discounts for single days?

One day tickets are not usually discounted so you pick them up anywhere.

Denise in MI

Only discount on 1 day MYW tickets I've seen is for Florida residents only.

The only thing I can think of is (if you have time) pop by the orlando convention center. If there is a big convention going on, sometimes they'll have a broker there that will have "special" one day or half day (after 2PM) tickets for sale there.

I'm of the understanding that those tickets are supposed to be for convention-goers only, and Cheshire Figment on the Theme Parks board has mentioned providing proof of conference attendance, I believe.

In any case, sounds like a royal pain with no guaranteed result to me.

And lastly, I don't think those convention tickets are THAT discounted from what I've read here.

For the OP - unless you want do sit thru a timeshare presentation (not a DVC one either!) for some hours, you aren't going to find legit discounted 1 day tickets. Resellers either don't sell them or charge a premium since Disney doesn't discount them to the reseller - you are better off to purchase direct from Disney.

For the OP: Check out Mousesavers.com, there is at least one option listed that would save you a little on one day tickets. We used that earlier this year when staying at WDW right before a cruise.

RevBob - can you elaborate on what that is? I don't really feel like searching thru Mousesavers right now, but if they are suggesting it I'm sure it's above board and could be described here.

Under Walt Disney World-Tickets and Passes is a listing titled "Support Florida Hospital for Children and Save on One-Day Tickets." The description and and instructions are too long for me to list here, but are easy to find following the above. Plus there are several options listed depending on the number of tickets one wants, with various savings accordingly(not a huge savings, but sometimes every dollar counts.)

Yep, I have heard of that FL Hospital donation thing - I had forgotten about that (and I don't know much about it).

OP get to know a CM, they can get you in with one-day park-hopper tickets for free.
