How about calling your resort gift shop and asking what brands they carry

I am not sure if this was suggested already but we had the same problem. I worried and worried. We ended up bringing one of the sunblock sticks for faces with us on the plane with no problem. I called ahead to make sure it was ok, they told me as long as it doesn't ooze liquid it is allowed. They are more like chapstick so it was no problem. We just used that the first few hours until we got our bags. Have a great trip!

Coppertone and Banana Boat make sunscreen sticks, like a lip balm, but bigger and for all-over. We have a Baby Coppertone and an adult Sport. We are taking those in our carry-ons and are packing a change of clothes and bathingsuits, water socks, goggles in our carryons. We're arriving early morning, so we have our bases covered in case we have to wait to get our room.
I love the spray-on Coppertone, but using the sticks for a day won't kill us.

Neutrogena makes an excellent stick. BUT I don't think they are allowed in carry on either. Applying ahead of time for us is not an option as we are flying from CA.

I bought 2 of the sunscreen wipes (they are actually called towelettes I believe - so I assume they are larger than your typical wipe). Bought them at Babies R Us. I figure they will be considered similar to baby wipes, as far as TSA is concerned, and I'm guessing that baby wipes are OK on flights?? I'm not anticipating a problem.

Oh, and FYI - I looked around for these at a number of stores - only found them at BRUs.

I think the wipes would be my best option. What brand are they?

You may want to call and check first. I was told anything that releases liquid is not allowed. Make sure they are fully saturated not drippy before you have to throw them away at the checkpoint.
