How to get sticker residue off windows?

We got all new windows and the huge stickers were taken off and lots of sticky goo left behind! I've tried Windex, alcohol and vinegar to no avail, help???

I'd start with trying simple cooking oil (the oil in mayo and peanut butter are what make those work too). Let it sit a minute, then scrub with just a paper towel. It will take some work, but all of it will usually come off if you keep at it.

If that doesn't work, then try Goo Gone. You can usually find small bottles of it at DollarTree in their small automotive/tool section.

Try a stain stick - let it sit for a few minutes and scrape off with a razor blade. (If it sits long enough, you may be able to just rub it off!) Smells good, too.

Make sure the glass is wet, maybe use a spray bottle of water, if you use a razor blade.

You don't want to scratch the glass on your new windows.

I'm assuming you put them in yourself, if not, I'd have whoever put them in come back and remove the stickers.

Or email the manufacturer and see what they say....might tell them you'd like to be able to ss through the new windows you bought from them.

We used a "scraper". I don't know the real name for it - but its a tool that holds a razor blade and you put it at about a 45 angle on the glass and it scrapes it right off.
