How to Get Rid of Wart - Permanently

Both my sister and I got rid of them by cutting them off with a razor blade and pouring fingernail polish remover on them. It hurt really bad, but they went away. My sister heard this somewhere. When it worked for her, I tried it. Not pleasant, but effective.

I know this sounds really gross but it worked for me and I have never had a wart again. In the morning before you brush your teeth take your saliva and put it on the wart. Do this every morning. It took about a week and it was gone!

My son had over 30 - the Dr. burned them off and it was agonizing for him (8 years old). He suggested a dermotologist, but decided it was too painful and my son would not be able to take it. So I took the matter into my own hands - Oil of Oregano - the Dr. couldn't believe it. He now tells everyone else about it. I have tried it on me, both my sons and it does work.

Soak the wart twice a day, put on the oil, sit for a few minutes for it to soak in and go. A few weeks later, that sucker is gone.

My dd, then 13, had one on the side of her big toe. It just kept getting bigger and bigger. We went to the pedi, who said she should go to the dermatologist. Okay, we went. The derm told dd she had three choices...
1. freeze the darn thing, but it would most likely come back and need to be redone.
2. spitting beetle juice..works but takes several applications and can be a bit nasty.
3. Compound W on the toe, duct tape over it. Every other day or so, after bathing, rub the wart with a pumice stone. Reapply the Compound W and duct tape.

Beleive it or not, it was number 3 that worked. The wart never came back either. The rubbing with the pumice stone does away with the dead skin and gets the body making whatever it is that fights off the virus. It took a few weeks but it did work.

I have a wart on one thumb that's been there forever. I tried using the Compound W on it once and while it did go away for a little while, it eventually came back. I've decided I am SICK of looking at this thing..it's so gross. :crazy2:

So I decied to try and get rid of it. I shaved most of the wart itself off and am now applying vinegar soaked cotton to it, held on by a strip of regular clear wrapping tape.

We'll see how it goes.:thumbsup2

OT - How are you doing on Rituxan?

I did not respond to the Rituxan. It is supposed to last for 6 months but at 3 months, I still had no improvement. So, my Rheumatologist said if I was brave enough, she was brave enough to put me on Enbrel while the Rituxan was still in my system. Now I'm on the max dose of Methotrexate, Enbrel, the residual Rituxan, and Prednisone. I have had major improvement! <knock wood>

Thanks for asking.

Warts are caused by a virus. I believe that duct tape works b/c it "suffocates" it. In any case, I was tired of having duct tape on my hand and having people ask why it was there so I went another route.

I know how you feel. My son got in trouble at school yesterday and I had to go meet with the principal. I felt really silly sitting in the principal's office with duct tape on my hand! :rotfl: I bet he was thinking...no wonder this kid has so many problems.

I Googled. It's not that. It's definitely a wart. It's hard and crusty. I pick at it all the time. I've got duct tape on it but now that I'm the front person at a law firm...I'm getting some disapproving looks. ;)

Well....mine started out looking like a wart for a few weeks. It didnt' balloon up until the Dermatologist tried to kill it with nitrous oxide!

my vote is one visit to the Dermotologist and be done with it:)

I don't know. I've had the dermotologist remove the ones on my hand no less than 5 times. They always come back. I think I'm going to try the duct tape thing too. And if that doesn't work I wonder where I can find one of those black magic dudes....

Your dermatologist isn't getting the root of the wart then if it keeps coming back. I'd find a new derm!

I tried the duct tape on my foot, but I just can't get it to stay on! It's so frustrating. Mine is right on the ball of my foot. It doesn't hurt, but it's gross!

I'll try the clear nail polish, but it'll probably rub off too. :(

My nana used to say if you rubbed a wart with an apple slice and then buried the apple in the yard the wart will go away. I think it had to be a full moon when you buried the apple, now that I think of it. My aunt says it worked when Nana did it to her. :confused3

I had a wart on my finger, but I had it frozen off at the dermatologist and that was the end of it.

perfect timing! i'm off to do some warty voodoo.

my dermatologist put a solution of beetle guts and some other homeopathic stuff in a little bottle on DD's wart and in three days it was gone and never came back:) I think I heard him mutter some voodoo too.:rotfl2:

Dr's would freeze them and they would come back. I finally went to this man and he spit on a penny, mumble something, and rubbed the penny on my warts- I was too embarrassed to show him the one on my stomach. He prayed over me and told me not to think about the warts or look at them for a week. He told me if I truly believed that Jesus Christ was my Lord and Savior that they would go way.

That is so cool. Guess it wouldn't work for me as I don't believe what the guy told you to believe, but it's still really cool!

Dangit! I don't have a yard.

Do you have the names of the homeopathics the derm used????

I hope this duct tape thing works. I just had to sign for something the mailman brought - of course he was staring at my hand. Then I had to walk over to the drug store, where I had to sign a purchase log (for Claritin) and the credit card receipt. Again, I felt the clerk staring at the duct tape on my hand.
