My dd, then 13, had one on the side of her big toe. It just kept getting bigger and bigger. We went to the pedi, who said she should go to the dermatologist. Okay, we went. The derm told dd she had three choices...
1. freeze the darn thing, but it would most likely come back and need to be redone.
2. spitting beetle juice..works but takes several applications and can be a bit nasty.
3. Compound W on the toe, duct tape over it. Every other day or so, after bathing, rub the wart with a pumice stone. Reapply the Compound W and duct tape.
Beleive it or not, it was number 3 that worked. The wart never came back either. The rubbing with the pumice stone does away with the dead skin and gets the body making whatever it is that fights off the virus. It took a few weeks but it did work.
