Hi :) ~ Does anyone have any tips on how to get the MCO Hyatt on hotwire? We did this several years ago for a Disney cruise and using the tips about what amenities to look for, we got it for ~ $50 :thumbsup2. This would be for a Disney cruise next September. Thanks

These items may change, and if you search this post years from now it probably did...

but the latest is that there are 2 4star hotels in the airport MCO area; Hyatt and Renaisssance with very similar descriptions

Hyatt
- Restaurant, Shuttle, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business

Renaissance
- Restaurant, Shuttle, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business
or
- Restaurant, Shuttle, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Smoke Free, Business

Many people have been having luck with www.lastminutetravel.com

Here is a cut and paste from a thread on how to know it is the Hyatt MCO courtesy of member "got2travel".

I use lastminutetravel.com often. I have found a tool to use so that I know for sure exactly what hotel I'm getting.

You'll need 2 browser windows open

Browser 1
Search on lastminutetravel.com for your city/dates
Click on or hold your cursor over the Book It box
In the middle of the URL you will see HotelID= (take note of these numbers)

Browser 2
Go to their parent site Tourico Holidays
In the URL replace what is currently there with the number you found above
If you book through the lastminutetravel link, this is the hotel you will get

The Hyatt MCO is ID 2825

I can just tell from the photos of the hotel on their website. The pool is easily recognizable.

Thanks! I found it on lastminutetravel, but when I went to the Tourico Holidays site, it appears that only registered travel agents can book :confused3.

Did you try booking through Tourico or lastminutetravel. It should work through LMT.

And, as LeslieG points out the photos are a dead giveaway if it is the Hyatt or not (check the Hyatt's website to see what their pool area looks like and compare to LMT).

Thanks for the info :thumbsup2 . I thought from your message above that booking through Tourico was the way to go. I believe I should be able to book using LMT. I think I'll wait a while though, as the rate is only a ~ $20 discount. Thanks for the tip on the pool picture :thumbsup2 . Very easy to confirm that way ::yes::.

It's been a while since I was able to book the Hyatt through HW at a great price.
Last time I could "see" it, it was the only 4* in the MCO area to have 4.5 *TripAdvisor rating. If the TA rating is 4* then it's the Renaissance.
Last few times I could get it the price wasn't worth the risk, like $150+. As if they really weren't trying to sell them. Lately we've been staying at WDW pre cruise. Our last stay at the Hyatt was in 2011.

Ok so I went to lastminutetravel.com and followed the steps and the photos are coming up Renaissance with a hotel id of 15257 for the night I need in January. Just in case anyone is wondering. Anyway, is it possible for the hotel to change to Hyatt?:confused3

Oh, BTW, it used to be if you searched for 2 adults or 2 adults/1 child, the Renaissance would show up. To get the Hyatt, you'd have to search for 2 adults/2 children. Also back when we'd get the Hyatt often, most times it wouldn't show in search results greater than a month in advance. Sometimes I'd be checking like a nut job every day and it would finally show 5-7 days prior. So it's good to have a cancellable reservation as a plan B. Marriott brands (Marriott, Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Spring Hill Suites) allow cancellation up until 6 pm on check in day. Very reasonable IMHO.

So I did a random search on HW for Nov 16-17, 2 ad/2ch, and I see the Hyatt for $82. I know the $68 room isn't it because it says pet friendly and the TA rating is only 4.0 stars.

For Last minute travel 2 adults and 1 child gets you the same results. What is a good price for Hyatt on Last minute Travel?

Personally, I'd be willing to pay a little more through LMT
1. The photos showing the Hyatt means it's much less of a guess.
2. The allow cancellation with a small fee. I think it was $20 maybe. (At least they used to.)

So this still gives you some flexibility and you're not locked in. IIRC, I only booked through LMT once but ended up cancelling to book through HW. Even with the cancellation fee, HW was a better price.

The Hyatt is geared toward business travelers besides being very popular for pre-cruise stays. If you plan to stay on a weeknight, Mon-Thurs., I would lean toward booking early. If you plan to stay Fri, Sat or Sun night, those days have fewer business travelers so they're more likely to want to fill vacant rooms. So I would wait to book. jmho. It's kind of a gamble so do what makes you comfortable. :goodvibes

I'm assuming based on your signature that you're looking for a stay for Jan 2-3? When I search on LMT it shows the Renaissance.

The 4.5 TA rating I mentioned before was pertaining to HW. On HW that's a very important distinction but on LMT you can click on photos for a clue. The pics I see when I search Jan 2-3 is definitely not the Hyatt. I tried searching for 2 ad/2ch and also for 2 ad/1 ch. Both give same results.

On HW, when I search 2ad/2ch for Jan 2-3, I see the Hyatt for $90 +tax. I guess it's possible it could drop as the time gets closer but if you look for this Fri, Nov 7-8, very last minute, the price is $88. The following Friday is $83. Not huge changes in price but I "see" the Hyatt being offered almost every day that I enter.
It's no longer at $55 like we used to get but it's still waaay better than the AAA rate. :thumbsup2
So if you go with HW, be sure to look for the 4.5TA rating. No guarantees but it has worked in the past.

Not too long ago I booked the Hyatt using Last Minute Travel CLUB. When you join the club vs. the general LMT website, you see exactly which hotel you are getting. No guess work. We got two rooms for Labor Day weekend 2015 at $151 (including all taxes). I thought that was a good enough deal compared to the usual prices, AND the price that was quoted to me by Disney (which was over $200)

Technically it is a "paid" membership to join, but you can search the web for a code to use that lets you join for free (which is what I did).

Apply for the Hyatt credit card, it gives you 2 free stays the 1st year with the annual fee waved and then 1 free stay per year with a $69 fee after that. I think $69 for a stay at the Hyatt MCO is pretty reasonable.

I'd be careful here. There are two airport Hyatts. The MCO Regency Hyatt would not have a shuttle as it is inside of the airport.

Yes thats true but in all the times I got the Hyatt, it always listed shuttle.
The other Hyatt is a Hyatt Place which is nice but it's not 4*.
Ig you narrow search results to MCO and 4* it cuts the list way down to one or 2.
