how to get late check out?

I'm staying at Por. I have a late flight. 6:15pm so I would have to leave around 3. How do I get a late check out. I want to go to Ohana or CM for breakfast. Not sure what time yet but I'm hoping for around 10. Which means I wouldn't be back until 12:30. When do I ask for a late check out and who do I ask. What is the chance I'll even get this request or should I expect to check out before I leave for my ressie.

The evening prior to check-out go to the check-in/check-out desk in your resort lobby and ask if you can get late check out for the following day. They will phone Mousekeeping for your hallway and ask if that would be possible for your room. If it is approved you will have a check-out time of 1:00 PM instead of 11:00 AM. I made our request about 5:00 PM prior to going to dinner. We were able to get late check-out.

My last trip I wanted to check out late and simply asked front desk if that would be possible without a fee. They checked and said NO PROBLEM and we were thrilled. It was a very busy time there so was surprised. Moral of the story It don't hurt to ask.

WDW LATE CHECKOUT:

1) DVC rooms (OKW-SSR-VWL-BCV-AKV-BWV, on points) do not allow late check-outs.
2) Other resort late checkouts are permitted by Housekeeping, not the Front Desk.
3) It depends upon
. . . number of check-ins and check-outs that day
. . . occupancy of the resort the night before
. . . how nice you talk to Housekeeping
. . . staffing and/or absenteeism of maids
. . . phase of the moon
4) If allowed,
. . . check-out 11:00am-1:00pm, no charge
. . . check-out 1:00pm-3:00pm, up to 50% of the room rate
. . . check-out 3:00pm or later, up to 100% of room rate
5) Housekeeping decides if you will be charged or not be charged a fee.
6) This is done by the Housekeeping Manager after the room is cleaned.
7) You will know if there is a charge when you see the credit card statement.
8) You can store your luggage with Bell Services.
9) When ready to leave, use the pool restroom or spa to shower & change.
