How to get from MK to DD?

What are the easiest and fastest options to get from Magic Kingdom to Downtown Disney Marketplace area? Also, if Magic Kingdom closes at 12PM, DD also closed at the same time? Thank you for any help?

I would suggest taking monorail to Contemporary, GF or Poly and from there grabbing a bus to DD. As for how long it will take depends greatly on when you leave MK. For example, if you leave park after a parade, fireworks etc. then you will be fighting crowds that are also trying to leave. As for hours of DD that depends on time of year you are going and days of week. Typically the hours are shorter during slower times of year.

I would think the buses would be the fastest way. I do know that DD closes at either 12am or 1am but the buses stop running from there at either 10pm or 11pm.

I believe the buses would be the fastest way, the only thing though if I remember correctly is that the buses stop picking up from DD at 10pm or 11pm.

To get to DTD you have to go to a resort and grab a bus,so either walk or take a monorail to the Contemporary and get the bus there.If you wanted you could also take the monorail to the Poly or GF but no walking to these.As far as DTD hours,I believe the normal hours are the Marketplace until 11pm on weekdays(Sun-Thu)and 11:30 on weekends(Fri and Sat) and 2am for the Westside.

Which boat are you talking about?There is the ferry from MK to the TTC and then either walk to the Poly or take the resort monorail to the Poly,GF or Contemporary to then get a bus to DTD, OR are you talking about the boats that go to DTD which only come from Port Orleans or Saratoga Springs,If you wanted to you could take a bus to either of these resorts from MK to then take a boat to DTD,but none of these are fast options.The absolute fastest route is to walk over to the Contemporary(5-10 minute walk) and just grab the bus to DTD there.

Shortest way, but if you are staying on site and just want to spend time at DTD it is a mass of bodies exodus. I had to wait for three buses from Contemporary to hop a ride to DTD. They were packed with people parked at DTD carrying sleeping kids and large families or groups.

Maybe another resort is better.

Fastest way: Walk from Magic Kingdom to Contemporary, take taxi to Downtown Disney.

Easiest way: Take bus from MK to a resort along the way, change to DtD bus. No or ultra short walk to the platform for the latter.

I'm not sure how late the stores at DtD are open but there is activity at DtD all the way to 2 AM when the last buses back to resorts leave.
