how to get from IOA to DowntownDisney

I will be a guest at the Contemporary in Oct. If my children and I go to Islands of Adventure in the morning is there a way to get to Downtown Disney? We don't have a rental car because we are mostly staying at Disney. Keep in mind I have not been there in 14 years so most places are new to me

Check into Mears....(yes, I know that many people do not like Mears)...but it may be the least expensive option for round trips to US/IOA....$12 per person I believe.

Hi Jinnyboom, I guess I did not make myself clear, I was planning Disney bus from hotel to IOA then need to get to Downtown Disney, then take Disney bus from DD to hotel. I don't need a roundtrip from hotel to just one place and then back. I don't want to make roundtrips back and forth each time.

hotel------> IOA------->DD-------->hotel

It is more like a series of one way trips but I thought staying at the Contemporary there would be Disney buses for getting to IOA and to get home from DD back to the Contemporary so we just need to get one way from IOA to DD. Gee I think I made that more confusing than it was to begin with.

There are no Disney buses to IOA. IOA is part of Universal and not part of Disney. You will need to either use a town car service for about $50 or so round trip or use Mears transportation for about $12 per person round trip...or rent a car for the day.

Thanks Helenk. I guess i was really confused. I thought I read in a guidebook that there was transportation avail from Disney to attractions off Disney property. I will have to start from scratch to figure out how to coordinate things. Thanks for setting me straight.
