We would like to walk from EPCOT to MGM. I know that I exit through the International Gateway. What I don't know is what is the fastest route to MGM? Do I go straight on past the Y/BC and Swan and Dolphin or do I go around by the BW?
Your advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi,

Go past the Boardwalk and you'll see a sign that says something like "Walkway to the Studios." Follow that path!

You can shave a few minutes off your walk by cutting through the Boardwalk pool rather than walking the full length of the Boardwalk. When you get to the Surrey Rentals / Boat dock, cut turn left past Wyland Arts, then right throiugh the walkway under the Boardwalk Villas, then left again before you get the pool proper and follow the pathway with the pool bar and slide to your right until you reach the MGM canal. Then turn left again.

You can take the Friendship Boats from the International Gateway of Epcot to the Disney Studios. The ride is 30-35 minutes because it stops along the way at the Beach/Yacht clubs, Boardwalk, and Swan/Dolphin. If you just miss a boat you would have to add maybe another 10-20 minutes. It is a nice and relaxing ride if you are not in a hurry.
The walk is around 25-30 minutes, depending on how fast you walk. As others noted, when you leave Epcot go left over the first bridge which brings you to the Boardwalk side. Someone posted a good tip about the short cut around one of the pools. It does save a few minutes from staying on the main walk which loops arounds several shops and clubs.
