How to get from Disney Resort to Universal?

What is the best way to get from a Disney Resort to Universal without a car? Is there any bus service or is a taxi the only way?

Our situation is that we will not have car seats for either child (2 1/2 and 8 months) because we will be flying and Magic Express doesn't allow car seats, so I don't see any reason to bring them. Since we won't have car seats, a taxi is not an option. I think a motor coach like the Magic Express is the only form of transportation that doesn't require a car seat, so I'm wondering if there is anything like this that runs between Disney and Universal.

Your best bet is probably Mears. You need to call them the day before you want to be picked up to arrange times.

I don't think there is a coach that runs between Disney & Universal. Have you thought about hiring a car for a couple of days? I think they may provide car child seats for an extra few $$'s and it will definately be the cheapest way to go.

We've used Mears from Disney resorts multiple times. It's easy and a lot of people do it, they just pick you up from your resort at a given time and they run on a fairly frequent schedule. When you want to go back to your Disney resort, you call them about an hour before you'd like to return and they'll give you a time to meet the coach.

The bus itself is exactly like the Magical Express bus, the yellow ones they have around, you've probably seen them from your resort porte cochure but didn't think twice about them. I know we didn't even notice the Universal buses until we took one and now we see them all the time.
