How to get from CSR to Contemp

We are dining at the Cali Grill and want to take a fun, leisurely trip over. How do we get on the monorail without using a park ticket?

You don't have to take the monorail to get to the Contemporary. You just take a bus from CSR to the Magic Kingdom. Then you can simply walk over to the Contemporary. The walk is very short.

If you just want to take the monorail and have the extra time. Just get off the bus, walk to the monorail station (it's outside the ticket turnstiles) and take the resort monorail. You'll make the loop around the monorail resorts.

At CSR get on the MK bus. Once at MK you can walk to CR or take the monorail. Neither of those options require you to use a park ticket.

If you're rushed, or the weather is bad, or you just don't feel like walk . . .don't hesitate to ask the bus driver (if you're the only ones on the bus, or only one or two others on it) to drop you directly at CR. The driver did that for us once, and it was convenient as we had a large group and one with difficulty walking.

Don'r forget once you arrive at the Contemporary the California Grill check-in is on the 2nd floor of the Tower and from there they take you up on a special elevator up to the restaurant.
