How to get Fast Passes ??

Which AP ? The one I already had when I received my MB's from the Poly or the more recent one? As I said, we never set up an MDE for the AP's, but I guess it's possible the CM did it without us knowing when she sold us the AP's. We never had to activate anything, as we went directly from guest services into Epcot.

Since you bought it at the counter they may have linked your wife's but it is possible yours is unlinked. Call IT and give them your email just to make sure you don't have one but if you have never created one for yourself just create one now and link you AP to it. Your wife can just add her AP to her account she created for ADRs.

My wife created her MDE after we purchased our AP's at GS. Neither one of as knew what an MDE account was when we started using our most recent AP's.

Try to link your current APs to an MDE, and if they don't work, call IT and let them help you figure it out.

Just get off the Dis and called Disney IT. In the time you have been talking to us, your problem could have been resolved

I don't have the right things at my disposal at the moment. I assume I need our AP numbers and/or magic band numbers, which I do not have at the moment.... But thank you for your kind and well thought out response.

No idea. My last on site stay was a couple years back. MB's were brand new. I don't even know if MDE was up and running yet. We checked in at the Poly and they handed us a band. I didn't use it. I just used the card key they also gave me.

I believe the battery in the Magicband only last a year or two, so if you got your magic band a couple of years ago, it probably wont work anymore. Just link your AP and forget about the magicband.

The magicband will work for everything but the photos that do not have tapstiles (like 7 dwarves). No battery is needed at turnstiles or FP.

I'm not sure that the OP has said that they will not be staying at a WDW Resort for the upcoming trip.
It was just stated that they have not booked a WDW Resort as of yet.

If (IF) the OP does book a WDW Resort, they will all be getting new MagicBands, anyway.

We now live locally so our on site days will be extremely limited.

If you are not staying on site, and hate the idea of wearing a band, you do not need a band. Your ticket (or Ap) has an RIDF chip. My nephew hates wearing a band and just uses his Ap at the turnstiles and FP.
