how to get copy of public offering statement

I am thinking of buying resale to get Boardwalk points. I wanted to review the actual "Public Offering Statement". When I asked the real estate broker about it, they said they did not have a copy, it was only given out when you bought through Disney. Does anyone know how to obtain a copy of this? I understand it is a little book of about 150 pages. Thanks in advance.

The most likely place you will be able to find one is with the Florida public agency that controls timeshares and, with which agency, public offerring statements are filed. That Florida agency (and this is a mouthful) is :

Department of Business and Professional Regulation
Division of Florida Land Sales, Condominiums and Mobile Homes

For Disney BoardWalk, you would actually be looking for two volumes -- one applicable to the BoardWalk and one that is the Multisite offering statement that is provided for all resorts, and any update of them. The agency should have copies on file. If they do not willingly provide them, you may have to make a Freedom of Information Act request. In either event, they may charge you a copying/sending charge that may give you second thoughts to getting a copy (e.g., many agencies often charge such outrageous amounts as $.35 to $.50 per page and when you are looking for a few hundred pages that amount can add up).
