How to get a dream fastpass

"How To Get ..." is not really a good name for this thread because no one has come up with a set of instructions that works practically all of the time, the few exceptions being some error on the part of the follower or some calamity such as illness on the part of the person giving them out, or a power failure.

I noticed something similar on two occassions during our trip Dec. 3-10...I saw members of the Dream Team paying special attention to families who had kids that were either having a 'meltdown' or crying for whatever reasons. The first family was near Dumbo, and the kid was going nuts! The CM escorted the family on to the Dumbo ride with no wait. The other was in Epcot, and again, the mom and dad were trying to calm down the child. They weren't near any ride, but I saw the CM talking with them and gave them something.

When you go to a park for rope drop say Epcot for example, where does everyone go. In Epcot most people go to Soarin'. Where does almost nobody go for their first ride in the park, thats right Living with the Land. If you sacrifice rushing to get onto the best rides in the park you may be rewarded with a dream fastpass. Just think of the least crowded ride when the park opens and go there. Hope this still works for everyone.

Not always the case. We did the rush to EE , were right behind the rope going over the bridge from DinoLand, and got on maybe the 4th train on EE. Got Dream FPs when coming off. and EE is by far THE ride at AK.

Am I the only one that thinks this looks an awful-lot like a way for Disney to test market a new Super Fast Pass, that will be for sale in future years, and be yet another source of revenue for Disney's crack team of financial-i magineers

I dont really know. Especially since they are doing this during a slow time of year. Friends of mine got theirs in AK during the 2nd week of December. They didn't use a single one becuase there were never any lines to require them. They just took them home as a souviner.

Also, if you have a large party (as we did) and have to split up to do things the entire party does not get them. That way the 2 people who did, didnt use them b/c they didn't want anyone to miss out on them.

Am I the only one who sees something wrong with people going out and TRYING to get a prize? It's all about the element of surprise and CMs giving random prizes to people. For those of you who are going down there really trying to get a prize, it is my hope that the CM walks right past you and gives it to someone who doesn't even have a clue that the promotion is even happening.

Sorry....I just think it is wrong.
