I mace a short video of my bf opening his birthday gift. We would like to share it with his parents but there is a small two second segment that i would like to mute.

I downloaded moviemaker to my desk top computer, but have not been able to import the video.

Can anyone suggest an easy way to edit those two seconds?

Thanks

I'm guessing, but have you tried pulling the video from the ipad into iTunes on the desktop computer? Once you have it into iTunes then you have some options.

What is the file extension on the desktop, that is, the 3 letters after the period?

Actually once you get the file onto your desktop computer you should be able to get it into moviemaker.

If you don't know how to do that then you need to start reading the documentation or using the Help system with moviemaker.

And, more importantly, what did he (or you?) say that his parents can't hear? ;)

Actually its pretty tame, only my "pet" name for him.
The story behind the video is he was turning 50 while we were in Vegas for the Depeche Mode concert (front row and awesome). So i made. Jewlery box with Depeche Mode quotes on it. In the box I placed a braclet I had made with his pet name...BUT under the braclet were over 20 birthday messages I had collected in secret from his friends all over the world. His mom was helpful in getting the word out requesting cards and I know she would love to see his reaction when he realizes what all the cards were

It is saved as a .MOV.

Windows movie maker supports wmv video, not mov video.

You'd need to convert this format, Google and download Any Video Converter Free to do the conversion.
