how to determine mushroom type?

I have these very interesting mushrooms growing along the front of my house. I have never seen anything like them before and can't seem to google/yahoo search worth anything.

anyone know how to find out what type? or any mushroom experts out there?

The safest way is to read the label at the grocery store above the bin or the one on the package.

the thing is, they are growing in my yard, not from a store. I've never seen ones like this in a store.

okay, as soon as I posted the last post I found some pics of ones that look like them...they are morel mushrooms. really interseting looking!
