How to Contact Main Street Mega Store???

Hi All!

Some of you may recall that, for Christmas, my darling 21 year old DD ordered a Disney back pack for us from Main Street Mega Store.

When we received the print out of the back pack and she told us where she ordered it from, I cringed inside. After a couple of weeks had passed, I told her about what I had read time again on the DIS about MSMS. I advised her that if ithe backpak had not been shipped, to contact them and cancel the order.

Last week she looked on their website and saw that it had not yet been shipped. It has also not been charged to her CC (a debit card as well :( ). There was no phone number on the site, but simply a form to e-mail them. So she e-mailed them asking them to cancel the order and requesting the favor of a reply.

As of today, she has not heard from them, and the website shows the order as not being shipped yet.

Any advise as to what she should do now?

I think they are now in violation of Federal law. Anything which is ordered with an expectation of prompt shipping must be shipped within 30 days. If the item is not shipped, the vendor must advise you of the expected shipping date. When you are given this information, they must provide a way for you to cancel the order without penalty if the shipment delay is not acceptable to you.

Since the expected mode of shipment would have been the USPS, the Postal Inspectors would be the ones to contact for further assistance.
 
We are involved in a similar situation right now. DH accidentally broke my Gingerbread Pooh Tree Topper but not enough to worry about. He still felt bad and ordered a replacement from the MSMS (not knowing any better). It was a sweet thought, but when I saw that their price was almost twice as much as we paid for the original, I told him to just cancel the order and we'd look for one when we're down in March. He sent them an e-mail through their web site asking that the order be canceled and has yet to receive anything other than the automated reply. After not hearing anything for a day, he also filled out the item return form and submitted it in hopes it would get their attention to cancel the order, but still nothing. DH doesn't know if his card has been charged yet but I hope it hasn't.
 
A couple of times when emails have been ignored, I've resorted to mailing them a letter at the address listed on their website. For some reason, this always seems to get a prompt response. Of course, I was always mad by the time I sent a letter, so maybe that initiated the speedy response.

They are very flaky but always seem to do the right thing in the end. I wish they would do better so that I could recommend them. They really took care of my order problems, it just took a lot of pain on my part.

Well, it hasn't been 30 days yet, she only ordered it the week before Christmas.
I will tell her that perhaps she might get more of a response if she sends them some snail mail. :confused3
