I'm going to Disney World in about a week and this is my first time staying in a hotel without a parent. What do I do at check out? What's the usual process? Thanks!

As long as your bill looks correct and if you left a credit card on file at the front desk to pay for any outstanding balances you should be good to go.
Depening on what hotel you stay you might even be able to check out from the TV - hit themenu button and search for guest services usually check out pops up right around there

The resorts typically offer quick check out, so everything is done the night before and slid under your door. You just grab your invoice and go.
At POP, it is left in an envelope attached to your door handle rather than being slid under your door....but otherwise effectively the same.
and if you don't leave a credit card on file, you only need to stop by the front desk to settle up if the are charges to your account (which would be shown on the statement). When you check in, you do NOT have to leave a credit card # on file if you don't want. We rarely do, esp with the reports of thefts of credit card #'s (and it does happen, it's been reported) It's an 'up to you' whether you want to leave a CC# on file. We choose not to and if there is a charge to our room (which there never really is) we will settle up at check out. Otherwise, you are free to depart just like those with a CC on file. Have a great trip!!
They will email the invoice to you if they have your email address and you leave a credit card on file - makes it really easy - you don't have to do anything to check out and you can keep your key card as a souvenir - it will just stop working at check out time.
If you happen to be paying cash instead of using a cc, just go to the front desk on your check out day and settle up any incidentals (you will have paid for the room when you checked in). Very simple.
