How to carry wands around the parks?

We'll be taking my two DDs in the spring and I'm sure we are going to end up with a pair of interactive wands. How do you carry these around the parks? Little girls clothing in general does not have pockets or just has teeny tiny ones so that's out. Is there another easy way for them to carry the wands around besides handing them off to mom and dad every few minutes.

My DD has an Eddie Bauer sling backpack that she carries in the parks and hers fits in that pretty well. The wands do vary in length though so you will want to pay attention to that. The boxes they come in are the bigger issue the first day you buy them...the box is a good inch or so longer than the wand itself.
