How to Calculate Conception Date?

Don't get your panties all in a bunch, I promptly removed him from the house and got myself "tested". All's good. "Denise" and I have become friendly, although I am not questioning everything she says. I have no intention of getting back with Mr. Wonderful, but at least would like to see if the conception did occur when "Denise" said it did.

Some STD's, like the HIV virus, can take several months to show up. You need to get retested again in about 6 months just to be sure.

Back to the original question: I actually ovulate around a week after the start of my period.

Good thing you cut him loose. Why complicate your life anymore than it has to be. He really needs to man up, if that's possible, and being a father to this child is the most important thing. Don't let him weasel his way back to you.

Unless she knows her luteal phase and was temping, it would be impossible to determine precise conception. So much biology that I'm not sure I can post about--but let's just say--it can be a wide range.

So while you'd like to pinpoint it to one person, without knowing her personal details--you are just kidding yourself that you will ever be able to know exactly.

(the swimmers can live for 5 days, the egg lives for 24 hours--then there is the matter of you not knowing details about her cycle. The only sure closest approximation outside of an RE office is if she were temping. Your temperature elevates with the release of progesterone AFTER the egg is released.)

And she could be completely full of crap.

I know that my whole body started changing a week after conception; hubby actually could tell 2 DAYS post-conception.

Oh, this is too easy. But I can't resist.

In my house, I'm the one with the body-knowledge

YOU have the "body-knowledge" (or so you think) in your house, but your hubby could tell BEFORE YOU that you were pregnant?????

I'm so sorry. That's not a fun situation to be in.

You said the texting started mid-June, then after that he started talking about how she's pg. The timing could be right. I know that my whole body started changing a week after conception; hubby actually could tell 2 DAYS post-conception. While there are some women who don't figure it out until they are 6 months along, other women have instant body-clues, so he could have been told that she was pg pretty quickly.

hate to hijack the thread, but....

please tell me what "instant body-clues" there are regarding pregnancy??? And if your hubby could tell 2 DAYS into the pregnancy, you might want to call Letterman or Leno.

To the PP, wash your hands of the whole deal. He's lying.

What does it matter if she was pregnant before or after or during the time? That is just way too much drama from a guy that should always and from now on be an ex boyfriend. If she was pregnant before him, that's his drama llama to ride into the sunset.

I get alot of people confused on here so forgive me if I have again but are you the same poster that was having issues with some guy posting that he was single or made another page on a dating site? Is this the same guy? If so, you need to leave all that craziness and drama alone. Way too much emotional drama and some guys just can't be fixed.

I agree. You are a very wise woman.

Time for the OP to get off the drama llama, and concentrate on parenting.

Well, I'm not sure about Bumber, but with dd#2 I knew I was pregnant within 1 week of conception, and took the first home pg test to prove it to my completely doubting husband a full 12 days before my period was due, which was positive.
