How to buy the best flatware?

IMHO, I'd go for a sleek/plain style...something that wont take away from your beautiful dinnerware. The Radiance would look great with your dinnerware!

I went to Macy's after work and they didn't have Radiance. I wasn't going to buy, but rather "test" them for weight.

Out of all the brands (Wallace, Lenox, Oneida, The Cellar, Reed & Barton and Wedgewood), Oneida brands and R&B are the heaviest. Vera Wang's were weighty but nothing that I liked.

1800 is very similar to what I currently have.

I use Oneida Heirloom in the Julliard pattern. I love it! Elegant but durable for everyday use. They have a Golden Julliard but Im not crazy about it.

That's what we have too! We got a bunch when we got married (15 years ago) and have filled in here and there from sellers on ebay. You can get some fabulous deals on this from some of the ebay sellers that live near the factories.
