can anyone help do you have to buy the dinning plan at the same time when you book your holiday with the travel agent or can you buy it at the resort when you get to disney.
Is there any way to save any money

Thanks for any help

you need to book with whoever you book your Disney accom with, you can't get DDP direct with Disney if you've booked with a TA - we've tried already and weren't allowed :sad2:

You have to book it as a package, flight, hotel and park passes, to be eligible for the DDP

And the Dining Plan is only available if you (or your TA) books directly with Disney (or AAA). It cannot be added to reservations made from TA's own inventory (and for that reason some TAs may elect not to make such reservations).

Different companies charge different amounts for the DDP so if you haven't already booked, I'd factor that into your overall package comparisons. We ended up with First Choice who charged a bit less than some others for the DDP, but a bit more for park tickets (we had been looking at all sorts of combinations of DDP or no DDP, tickets through package or bought independently etc).

Interesting to know, since presumably Disney charges all the resellers the same amount for the Dining Plan. Like you alluded to, it's probably just a shell game the various companies are playing, lowering the price of line item A and raising the price of line item B.

That plus the fact that each company makes a set assumption on exchange rates, which when you look in the small print at the back of the brochures is stated and differs from company to company according to when their prices were set/their own forecasts.

You don't have to book your flights as part of the package to be eligble for the DDP. You just need to book your accomodation and park passes with the same company.
