How to avoid Future World in EPCOT

That is why you must be a on site guest with a parking pass. We own at the Boardwalk and go there a lot even when not staying there. Not just to go to Epcot.

On-site guests are entitled to parking at their resort. If visiting/dining at another they're permitted 3 hours unless they valet or risk their vehicle being towed.

If you are staying on site just go the Boardwalk and tell the you are there to enjoy the Boardwalk itself and self park. No need to valet if you already have a parking pass. We are DVC and do it that way sometimes.

The OP is going to be spending more than three hours at Epcot so self parking at the Boardwalk is not going to work very well since they would probably get the parking pass for only that time.

Plus - the self parking for a non Boardwalk resort guest should be in the overflow parking lot and that adds quite a bit to the walk just to the resort and the OP wants to avoid walking with the stroller as much as possible.

Any reason why you want to skip future world? Most of my toddler's favorite things at Epcot are in that part-the aquarium and Nemo ride, the living with the land boat ride, character spot, the ride in the big ball and stuff at the end, the play area at the end of mission space, and the firetruck and fake house by it in innoventions.
Depending on how busy the parks are and time of day we've had a looooong wait for a boat from HS or the resorts to the world showcase gate. We've ended up walking a few times because of that and it's a lot longer of a walk from whichever parking lot our car is at to the gate than just walking through future world from the Epcot parking lot!

I agree, don't skip FW with a toddler! My son was 3 1/2 when we first went and absolutely loved Figment, Living With the Land, Character Spot, Nemo, the fish tanks, and the cars at the end of Test Track. He is now 4 1/2 and insists on riding Figment and Nemo at least twice every time we've been. He begs to watch the ride-through of Figment on Youtube at least once a month. If your son is 40", he might love Soarin' as well. If you have to walk through it anyway, might as well enjoy it!

Okay we have a group of adults going to World Showcase only. We are taking a cab from Wydham Bonnet Creek? Where do u all think we should have the cab drop us off for the easiest entry to World Showcase?

Just briefly on toddlers and EPCOT, one of my kids was 2 years and 10 months the last time we went and she LOVED Turtle Talk with Crush. She even had more courage in raising her hand to participate than her 5.5 year old older sister.

If you're staying on site, just take a bus to HS, then get on the boat for World Showcase. You don't have to enter HS either, it's near the entrance. It goes through some of the resorts, but it's a relaxing ride with pretty scenery. Then they drop you off right where you wanna be!

Seriously though, I agree with the other previous posters.....Let's say you park at the Beach Club. You're still looking at about a 1/2 mile walk to make it to the bridge between UK & France:

Parking at Epcot and walking through Future World wouldn't save you that much of walk, then if you did want to do anything in future world, you would assuredly be adding more walking.

That was my thought too. When DD was 2, she loved FW at Epcot, in addition to the things you listed, she loved Journey into Imagination, and the play area after it (which has shrunk, but still has a few fun things), and Turtle Talk with Crush. I was surprised at how much she loved Living with the Land at that age. Of course, she absolutely loved WS at that age too, I think she would have ridden the "Donald Duck boat ride" in Mexico in circles all day if we let her, she loved all the characters and entertainers over there too.

I'm glad someone mapped it out. I was thinking that in no way is walking from BC/YC shorter by any significant amount than walking from the Epcot parking lot.

I am willing to wager money that it is a shorter stretch from the entrance of EPCOT to the beginning of the lagoon than it is from the valet drop-off point at BC to the top of the IG @ the bridge/UK area.

Now, if you were to somehow do the BW valet and go down to the boat and then boat over, you'd walk shorter but I'm not sure a 600m-650m walk is worth $22.

The international gateway entrance is reachable by boat or you can walk to it. You can probably valet at BC, YC, BWI, Dolphin/Swan and then either catch the boat/walk to the IG entrance. I'd catch the boat because walking would kind of be the same as the walk from the EPCOT parking lot.
