How to add one person for existing reservation

I have reserved the Disney Wonder cruise to Alaska with departure date Aug 14th of 1 adult and 2 children.

Currently,I want to add one adult. After calling the Disney Cruise line,there is no available space now,they suggest me to make calls everyday to check the status.

Do you have any other suggestion for what I can do now?

I will keep make calls everyday,and if there is still no available space at the last minute,is it possible to wait at the departure Port as there maybe someone who does not appear on time?

No. While you can add someone up until that morning, it must be done by phone, not at the port.

Did they check to see if you could add the 4th person by changing rooms?

When someone wants to add an additional person to an already existing reservation DCL asks 3 questions:
1) Is there space in the room for them? (can't put 4 people in a 3 person room).
2) Is there space in the lifeboat assigned to that room? (it's possible for there to be bed space but the lifeboat is filled because the other rooms assigned are at maximum capacity).
3) Is there space in the appropriate kid's club? (if applicable)

If the answer to any of these questions is "no", then you can't add someone. But it may be possible to add another person by changing room categories/location. One note - that new person will be paying the prevailing rate for then, not the rate they would have paid had they been on the reservation to start with.

Actually,the existing room is booked for 4 initially and I removed one adult in May. Currently,I want to add the adult back,so,according to the 3 items you listed,only item2 may answer no,right?
 
The problem may be that the Aug 14 isn't even showing up on the DCL site. They may actually be sold out. If you removed someone, then that spot (not in your cabin, but elsewhere) may be gone.

Then,how can I know who will cancel the trip in time? Currently, I just keep give DCL calls everyday.
 
You cannot know. I would not show with an extra and hope to get them on board.

You are past PIF date. I do not think you will add a fourth.

PIF = Paid In Full. The date that the penalties for cancelling kick in.

You never know if someone will cancel or not, all the way up to the day before. Just keep calling. At random times of the day. Maybe even 2 or 3 times if possible.

There's a slight chance you can add the forth person.

In the next two weeks either A, One or more people in your lifeboat section has to cancel, or B, A group of 4 or more in another room cancels altogether and you can move to that room. Given that your sailing is now to the zero refund point the odds of either of those things happening is slim, but not impossible. Also remember that if Possibility B were to occur it could be a different room category and end up costing quite a bit to switch.

That's a good point. Make sure to ask whether moving to another room, if one is available, would help to get your 4th person on the ship. Ask each time you call, as you never know when that might happen.

nevermind, just saw that FigmentSpark told you to ask for another room (as long as you're willing to change).
Thanks,I also consider to change the cruise date,just checked the cruise line for laterone,which departured on August 21st,only 2 adults and 1 child available,not 2 adults and 2 children!
 
I also consider to change the cruise date,

If you change to a different cruise date, you would lose the entire amount of the cruise you have booked (it's now <=14 days before your sail date).

You can change to a different cabin on the SAME sailing, just pay the difference or (I think) get a refund if it's less. But you can't change to a DIFFERENT sailing.
