Ok ladies, for those of you waiting (or not) for this update here it is.
Some of you may remember that I posted prior to the holidays that I had done a big (32 pages!) layout in the Power Layout box and decided to ship it out to California where I'd be spending 8 days at my brother and SIL's. I had the box pretty full and wrapped it in plastic as protection. It was packed flat but who knows how the shipping box was handled throughout the journey.
I can't say, and didn't expect, that the layouts would remain exactly as placed. However, they were relatively good. Some shifting but not so much that I couldn't remember the basic placement. I had also included notes on layout ideas, ie: "use stars to semi-mat main character shots". Meaningless to all of you, but it was enough to remind me of the overall look I wanted on that set of pages and I was able to re-place the photos that had shifted in such a way that they work. Ok, so it may not be exactly the way I first intended but I don't remember what that was anyway.
I had shipped my cardstock and page protectors ahead, as well as some of the paper, stickers, etc I planned to use. Scissors, 12 x 12 cutter, pens, etc went in checked baggage.
As I write this I'm waiting for the return shipment so I can reassemble that book (which I didn't take due to weight considerations) and continue with DS's high school book.
