How tall is your 3.5 year old child?

My 3 1/2 year old son is 44'' tall and about 47 lbs. He's a big boy, but not fat in any way. I am 5'8 and my hubby is 6'4 so that's why he is so tall. I wouldn't worry about your son though--as long as he is acting healthy and eating fine. Everyone is different

Hi, just try to remember that children's growth is not usually linear (gradual) but more sporadic. They may not grow much for months and then, boom!- they have a growth spurt!

(This is much like my yearly growth spurt around the holidays BTW!!! Except mine is not in height!)

Hi, my ds just turned 4 at Halloween. I took him for his check up recently and his height was 48 1/2 they said he has the height of an average 7 year old. The scary thing is that he won't be able to start kindergarden until he is almost 6 due to the cut off. He allready towers over all the K and 1st graders. I put his h/w into a height predictor and it gave me around 7ft. YIKES. I need to finish nursing school just to start saving money to put clothes on this kid.

If your son has been in the same percentile consistently, then he is probably fine.

My daughter seemed "short" forever--then had a major growth spurt and growed a bunch all at once. She all of a sudden was tall enough for Splash Mountain at 4 years 2 months when 6 months earlier she had a good bit to go (at least an inch if not 2).

My son is concerned was growing nicely and then just seems to stop and really hasn't grown in about 9 months now.

I do have an appt with the doctor next week. I'm 5'9" and husband is 6'2" and his big brother is very tall but sister is not so.

I just have my concerns.
