How soon should transferred points show in my account?

I just got off a 3-way call with another member and MS, points were transferred to my account. When I went to DVCmember.com the points aren't showing. Should they show at the website? If so, how soon do they normally appear. I do have the confirmation #, but just worried that something may have went haywire.

Transferred points should not show on your account on the website. When you call, MS will see it on their screen. The points should be in your account as soon as the transfer takes place.

Years ago, transferred in points would show in your account immediately. But as they improved their systems, this feature vanished. It is because, technically, the points are not a part of any of your existing contracts. DVC creates a new contract (called a virtual contract) that only they can see. The virtual contract ensures that the transferred in points keep the same use year and home resort booking priorities.

Just a word of warning...I've had points transferred into our account on a few occasions and without fail they "mess up" our point accounting with MS. Please keep very good records of your points, date of transfers, etc and trust only your records. When booking reservations using those transferred points, MS may (or may not) take a little longer to sort through the reservation. Don't misunderstand me, the transferred points are good, they're yours and they work, but they tend to require a bit more supervision!
