How smooth is Slinky dog or SDMT for someone with spine or bone issues?

Anyone with osteoporosis or spine issues ride Slinky dog or SDMT? Did you regret it if so? Do you feel they are smooth enough for you to tolerate?

I have neck issues and cannot tolerate any of the major rollercoasters as they are way too jarring.

I have not done Slinky Dog, but I found SDMT to be fine, I found it had a "sway" motion to it rather than a jarring/shaking motion. We were always seated in the middle cars, not sure if that makes a difference.

YMMV

Spinal issues here, and although you didn't mention it, Kilimanjaro Safari gave me the WORST lower back pain going over a bumpy road when I sat near the back. Now I insist on the first row when I do KS and have no issues. Good thing-KS is my favorite ride at WDW!
Haven't done Slinky Dog yet, but for me, SDMT was fine as long as I was around the middle.

Slinky is smooth except the section of little hills shown in a previous post. They are smooth but not on my back. I did not have any issues with 7D - I feel like there was a quick stop by the dwarf house at the end though

Thank you. I rode that almost 20 years ago and recall being concerned. I will definitely ask for front row if it's definitely better.

I have bad Osteoporosis but have not been back since I was diagnosed. We go frequently. When we return I will definitely ride SDMT, but not Slinky Dog.

I rode SDMT 3 years ago (I probably has the osteo then but wasn't aware). I did ok (spine and osteo). But just wonder if I should do Slinky when the time comes. I hate missing out on a ride my whole family can go on. :(

What other rides do you certainly avoid? Which ones that are more aggressive can you tolerate?

For me, I avoid:

- Big thunder mountain railroad [can tolerate if having a really really good day & sit in middle, but I no longer bother as not worth the risk]
- expedition everest [did it a couple times, the first was not too bad, the second not so good]
- space mountain [this one is the worst for me and not only made my neck very unhappy but is an instant severe migraine trigger for me; will never go on it again; instead I wait while my sister happily goes on it twice in a row]
- barnstormer
- rock'n'rollercoaster [it was one and done]

- test track is uncomfortable at several points and I won't do it again

I have not tried slinky dog or mickey's runaway.

Star Tours and Dinosaur are both fine for me.

I do not like Haunted Mansion so do not ride it. Same with Tower of Terror. Do not recall what they were like otherwise.

I would not ride Dinosaur either, as well as EE which up until now was my favorite, Now I'm too scared. I just think of what I would take my 90 yr old MIL on, and that's what I'll ride. Oh, no Space Mtn either:(.

For me it is not worth it to take the chances. However, your back is different than everyone who has opined here. Final decision can only be made by you. I do not ride several rides due to motion sickness. No need to ruin my day. I peoplke watch while others ride. However, this would NOT be fun with no fast passes!!

Be aware that if you use a wheelchair, you will automatically be seated toward the back of the train on many of these coasters. That is where they have an opening big enough for the wheelchair to get to the car.

Thank you. That's important info. I don't use one but I appreciate you sharing that.

This is a review of Slinky Dog dash that includes a video - it includes multiple repeats of different parts of the ride, particularly the hills/dip.

The ride is fairly smooth, it does include a warning for guests with back or neck issues. Some of the reviews also mention the banked curves and that guests will get some ‘air time’.
I don’t have any particular back issues and have never felt sick on a roller coaster before, but the series of quick hills/dips at about 2:25 on the video made me feel pretty jostled around and nauseous.
