How "silly" do you/would you get at WDW?

Do you wear clothes you wouldn't wear anywhere else? Do you behave differently, like taking part in shows that you wouldn't do elsewhere?

We went to California last year, and my sister bought us girls tiaras...you know, the $3-ish plastic kind, with "genuine rhinestones". ;) We wore them to Downtown Disney, and at the airport too. :teeth: Then again last year in WDW. (I think there was a picture posted with me in my tiara. :) ) The garbage can in MK sure was impressed..."Ooooo....princesses!" :teeth: A couple of them broke, so we bought new tiaras this past summer in Boston...FANCY ones, with "FUR" on them! :teeth: We've got them packed for our trip in 11 days.

We're also going to Universal, and this weekend I saw SPIDERMAN lounge pants (men's) at Target...black with red spidermen all over. I am dying to get them to wear at Universal...but I feel silly. DH and the kids say I should (ssssuuurrre...THEY'RE not wearin' them!)...but I don't know. I could take a tiara off if I felt like it, but pants...

What have you done, and what would you do?

(Oh boy...I just remembered...I bought myself (for Christmas, from my DH...it's the best way to get what I want  ) a pair of women's lounge pants...gray with Mickey all over...at Kohls. hhmmm)

Yup, I act goofier at WDW. I do not feel like I have to be so prim and proper. I can let my hair, what little I have down. Just be goofy and me....Can wear Mickey ears, dance at Jellyrolls and sing at Kareoke...of course it helps that all the crazy DISers are there with me...

How silly, Mare!!!!!!!! :teeth: You would do that??

I try to maintain decorum, and help maintain it with whomever I am with, like Tia for example. :teeth:

Go for the pants, Mare, you'll look stunning. :)

Disney is all about having fun and doing stuff you can't do in your every day life. I have a pair of minnie ears I wore at AK and it was so much fun. People smile at you and talk to you, I had a CM "mistake" me for Minnie Mouse and we talked for like 30 minutes. It's a good time when you step outside yourself a little. I mean it's not every day you have a chance to smooch with a 6ft Tigger...Grrrrrrrrrrrr ;)

i say go for it. :teeth:

Same thing I wear at the Evil Emperor Office

I'll be in WDW with one of my friends soon and the two days that we plan on spending together......we'll be wearing tiaras. We'll be taking LOTS of pictures of that lol :teeth:

Enough to embarass my DS:D I have a Mickey safari hat for AK and Socerer ears for MK. On our recent trip, my sister made t-shirts for all the girls (herself, me, our Mom and my niece) They had a large picture of Cinderella on it she stenciled and painted. Many compliments around the castle:D

Everyone wore a tiara to our tea at the Grand Floridian last DISCON. I didn't have one and I felt very out of place :(

I think I'm going to have one this year though :teeth:

I wore my MM ears one day & my rainbow red birkis. (which the musicians on Main Street even commented on--those sandals would put me on Zurg's Bad Shoe page!!) I danced (or should I say "moved" a bit for the Dapper Dan's on my last trip--very unlike me.
Mare you look great in that tiara! I know Queen Snoopy would look as good as you in one. She really should have one for her next trip! LOL
There's something about WDW that allows me to loosen up that way. Maybe I felt like no one knew me anyway so... but now, there's the "Buckalew" nametag and all those lime green ribbons--I may not be as loose next time. ;)

Michelle,
I would have if they had sung some! LOL
As strange as it may sound, because the BB as so old and mild, I am as loose as I ever get at a BB concert. But, hey, singing at the top of my lungs and dancing:eek: , is pretty wild for a buckalew! At the last concert we went to, the little guy next to me was a client. I think I shocked him (that Miss Brenda acted that way!LOL) & may have damaged him for life. (Well, maybe so, if he never goes to any other kind of concert in the future! :p ) Truly, I think DH thinks I become invavded by an alien or something...
Sorry, even if the Dapper Dan's get wind of my actions and start singing BB tunes, it will never happen at WDW. I wouldn't want MM to see me like that!!:p

Last year I just had to have the pink fuzzy feathered blinking light up mickey ear headband thingy. I loved it. I thought I was so stylish. Of course I would never wear anything like that back home, or around people who know me (other than my SO/family) but at Disney I feel like I have been licensed for fun, and if that fun included wearing a battery operated hot pink blinking furry set of mouse ears, then I am all for it. I love seeing people get into the spirit with mouse ears, light up toys, fun clothing. Whatever makes it fun for you. Remember, you will probably never see most of those people again in your life, and so what if you do?

I'm planning on being very goofy at DISCON!!

I have my tiara and lime green feather boa for the GF tea. I have a silly hat for the Fantasyland meet. I will have no one (like my kids) telling me I need to get a life!!

We sang the Mickey Mouse song out in front of Test Track so we could skip the line. This is something my mother would normally do anywhere, but not the rest of us. I just wished my sister was along with us because she would have had a heart attack if she saw her kids doing that! :teeth:

Hi Cap if you are lurking!

My kind of DISer;) . Now if we could only get GLO into one:jester: :jester: .

I'm goofy all of the time..........at WDW or elsewhere:) ...

I get silly. :)

I almost constantly wear a hat that has tigger ears and a tigger tail on it.

I get almost as excited to find hard-to-find characters as the kids do.

I get as excited to see characters on rides as kids do.

I'll get more involved in shows and parades than I'd ever do back home. ;)

I get pretty silly, but I don't think I can compete with some of the stories I've read...lol

You got to remember, the last few times, I've gone to WDW, I have had teen-age sons.........I pretty much just have to breath and walk at the same time to be silly in their eyes!!! :jester:
