How Shrek friendly are the new rides?

I have not been to Universal in 3 years. I don't fit on most of the rides but my kids love the parks so we still go. My question is how tight are the seats on Minion Mayhem and the Transformer Ride. I can fit on Spider Man but not on the Mummy to give you an example. We are going this August.
Also, we are staying onsite, have they allowed FOTL on the RRR or FJ yet.

The minion ride is the same ride as Jimmy Neutron back a few years ago. My husband fit just fine on JM and on the new version, and he's a big guy.

Don't know about the Transformers.

Express Pass is now part of Rip Ride Rockit, but not Forbidden Journey. (or Pteranodon Flyers or Ollivanders wand shop experience)

Back in 2008 I just barely squeezed into the seat for Mummy (my mom had to help push the bar down to get that last click). I didn't try it last year but I doubt I would have fit. My weight is pretty much all tummy, butt and thighs to give you a frame of reference.

Last August I WAS able to squeeze into the Minion Mayhem seat but the bar cut into my gut and I was quite uncomfortable. We wanted to go on it again so I sat on one of the stationary benches. I was more comfortable but it really deadened the ride experience, IMHO.

Forget about Flying Journey. You will probably not be able to fit in those seats. They do have test seats outside the ride so you can find out if you will or won't be able to go on it before you even get in line.

Transformers is too new for me so I can't help you with that one. Good luck and have fun!

Transformers is the same ride vehicle type as Spiderman, so you should not have a problem there. The bar does come down on Minions snugly, so while I would expect you would fit, it may not be the most comfortable.
