Anyone who's flown on a airplane knows theres a very unpleasant ear-popping sensation when you take off and land.

How do you avoid this terrible feeling? I've heard alot of theories but I need to know what works best.

I use Ear Planes. I also take Sudafed about an hour before landing.

Chew gum, yawn, try to cajole some bottled water from the steward, since you cant even bring it with you anymore, thanks to a few misguided warriors. :guilty:

Some would call them terrorists. Guess it depends on your viewpoint.

Yawning works best for me... then chewing gum.

Sudafed would help if you have any fluid in your ears. (not necessarily helping them pop). Also, if you have high blood pressure you should stay away from sudafed.

I DO have high blood pressure, so I have just gone out and purchased Earplanes. Thanks for the recommendation!! Can't wait to try them out. :listen:
