How scarey is EE really?

You might call this off topic, but lots of this thread has been all along.
Ya know I don't know what's going on today, but I've taken a peek at 3 seemingly harmless threads (no mention of pool hopping or eternally refillable mugs) and all 3 have erupted into pretty bitter arguments. We are probably going to ride this ride for the first time this trip, I was looking for info on THAT subject. :confused3

my DH and me just got back last nite from WDW and rode everest

NEVER AGAIN

it hit DH so bad I had to get CM in a gift shop to get help!!!

he was sweating so bad it was actually dripping off of him (sorry if this seems gross but I was scared!!! I never saw anyone like this)

so pretty soon I store supervisor and managers getting info paramedics and security came

they said it was a combination of the heat and motion sickness his blood pressure and blood sugar were ok--they took him to first aid to rest well he was there about an hour then they called guest relations to take us back to our resort (CBR).

DH felt so bad cause we had a nice nite planned MK was opened till 1am so he told me just to go

I was gone about 3 hours just to fininsh up a few things

when I got back there was a package from the managers at the gift shop--

they sent us each a Tshirt and a picture book of disney world!!! with a very nice note. so we had some pixie dust!!

I actually had tears--it was just so kind of them.

which brings up another question--

with all the happenings I never paid any attention to their names--
does anyone know how I can find out the names of who helped us out so much.

I would like to write a letter to let the higher ups how we appreicate what they all did for us

My 4 year old DS plans on riding it. He's very tall for his age and rode everything he could last year, including SM, BTMRR, and ToT. I just watched the video link on this thread with him earlier today, and he's way excited. He was just chasing DD3 around the house growling at her saying he's the Yeti. :rotfl:

It doesn't worry me in the least. He was fine last year, he'll be fine this year. :thumbsup2

why would you even think about putting a 4 year old child on a rollercoaster, for the thrill of his/her life. the child is only four! wake up!

Hey stinkypeet - Looks like you're new on these boards... Incase you haven't noticed, we play nice around here.
You know the DIS in DISboards refers to "DISNEY", as in family friendly atmosphere. We have all managed quite nicely to this point without your caustic input - so just as Mom said - if you don't have anything nice to say than perhaps you shouldn't say anything at all. :sad2:

Our 3 1/2 year old went on everything last year, ToT, Kali, Dinosaur, BTMR, only wasn't tall enough for Space Mountain.

It depends on your kid. There are many 3 and 4 year olds that do better on roller coasters than 11 or 12 year olds...you have to know your kid.

I have been to Disney so many times that I have lost count. You have to know your child. In May, a child was screaming " Get me out of here" over and over, we were in The Little Mermaid. She was scared to death!!! The mother, finally did remove the child. She was horrified!! I felt so bad for her. My Granddaughter cannot set through Mickey's Philharmonic . My children loved Space Mountain at 3. The cars were different then and they set in between the parents legs. If your child is scared of heights, dark, noise, speed. don't take them on the ride. We loved EE, the line was to long to do it again, I wish we could have but we love Roller Coasters. My DGS hated Dinosaur and will not do it again, he is 8. He loves Roller Coasters. It really scared him!!! WE will not put him through it again. One of us will set out and do child swap on the 2 children. Thanks for the video, it really is good. I am going to show it to DGS so he will know what to expect before he gets on.

I just have one question- is this a "jerky" roller coaster or does it give a fairly smooth ride?
TIA!

I think the best advice is to have one parent ride first in the single rider line and then-since they know the child-decide whether to take them or not.
I took my niece on BTMR when she was 5, she just made the height requirement. I had ridden it a number of times and I thought it would be ok, but I was still nervous. I was lucky because she LOVED it and 15 years later has yet to meet a roller coaster that she didn't like. But don't try and get her on the teacups!

I've just watched the video and it looks a lot like the mine train Coaster at Port Aventura in Spain. Though I am not keen on the backwards bit. But will get dh to ride it first like I always do.

I thought EE was very tame. It is like BTMR with a shadow of a Yeti in it. I was very disappointed with the Yeti. I sat next to a boy that appeared to be around 5 y/os. He laughed the whole time. He was one of those kids that kept his arms in the air the whole time too. I think that you should ride it first to see how it really is before letting a 4 y/o on it.

Hi - I was watching the link of the entire ride experience and was trying to figure out where the big drop is? Is it in the dark? I couldn't figure it out

I'm hoping this thread is getting back on track here..remember...."How scary is EE really?".....

Can anyone out there answer the above questions??

Flowerpower.... This is not a jerky coaster - nice and smooth the entire time! It was amazing to me how smooth the climb to the top was! :thumbsup2
